sperm plugs

kennny Feb 20, 2007 02:26 PM

Hi everyone,

I was changing one of my young males water earlier this evening and in his water bowl was what looked like a tadpole/fish egg with tiny white bits in it. it was flexable but i did'nt break it. is this a sperm plug?

I've tried to find a picture of one online but with no luck, anyone got an opinion?

many thanks,

kenny.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunatly what i found does not look anything like that, But if a sperm plug is left to soak in water does it look any "different" or do they always keep a similar shape to the picture you posted?

All of the ones I have seen look about like that. They do dry up after a few hours. That one was pretty fresh.
