Iguana in new cage temper/Limp

lizardkid101 Feb 20, 2007 06:39 PM

I just moved my iguana Rex into its new cage. Its six feet tall and five feet long its like four feet wide. I'll add pics. She is 8 years old and around 4-5 feet long. She has never attacked me in the 8 years ive had her. She did fine in the new cage for the first 3 days and now is attacking me. She wont let me in the cage at all. Also she was at the vet 4 weeks ago for an abscess tooth. It healed fine but while she was on the meds she jumped into the wall and hurt her arm. She has a bad limp on her right arm. He are taking her into the vet on thursday to get it looked at. Any advice on the temperment change and the limp. Thanks

Iguanas detest change.
Change = Stress
Stress = bite the hand that feeds

Good work with the enclosure, give it some time and let her adjust on her own terms. Hope all will be well at the vet.
