special jani

Steve G Feb 20, 2007 06:58 PM

This'04 holdback had a little different look right from the get go........a lighter background color with a darker head. A very calm disposition right from day one, never defensive like many neonates. While most of my jani hang out in their hide boxes, this guy always comes out to check me out, any time I'm doing my chores in the snake room. He will be a stunning animal once he hits 6 feet and starts to bulk out.

Man that is a killer animal! I am looking to pick up a pair of them this year! Is he one that you hatched out, or did you get him from a breeder?

Regards,

Kerry

I have had jani since '99, and have been breeding them sice '02. This is one of my offspring.

Both are really nice Steve. I especially like the clean backgroung color.
One of my females stays out like that. She is always right in the front of her drawer, often trying to eat me a I pass by. Randy W.

Sorry that should read, often trying to eat me when I pass by. By that I mean she will try to grab me by slamming into the plexiglass front of her cage in an attempt to get me. RW

Randy........the mother of that male in the pic has always been an agressive feeder. She actually can recognize a rat shown to her presented outside of the cage. I keep my adult pits in 4' Boaphile cages, and I swear that this animal can spot the form of a rat before she should be able to pick up any scent. Needless to say, when I drop the front opening, it's "fire in the hole" as to feeding response. I simply flip the rat in, jump back, and watch the fireworks.........lol!
