This is my first post. I bought Electra a couple of weeks ago. She was bred by a veterinarian in southern Alabama (don't know his name). I've owned Ball Pythons, but BRB's are the most beautiful snakes to me. I'm pleased to say that she is eating very well, and has had her first shed (complete). I'm including my first image of her. She went dull a couple of days after this, preparing for her shed, and I haven't gotten any new ones yet which show her off better.

She's housed in a plastic container for now, with a flowerpot hide filled with moss. I had her on a mixture of repti-bark/moss, but mold grew too quickly. So...still have the moss filled hide, but just paper towels in the bottom of her cage. the temp. is 80 at one end, 70 at the other. Humidity is at 90%. Big bowl of water at cooler end. She's stayed in her moss pot mostly, until tonight, after feeding and shedding. She explored a bit before going back to 'bed'. Anything else I should be doing?

Thanks,
Janet

Janet,
...Welcome to the forum. That is a very nice looking BRB. It sounds like you have everything set up just right for her. I am trying to think of the name of the vet in Alabama.

Thanks for the comments on Electra. She shed last night after her meal, and since it was a small rat fuzzy, I managed to get her out today for some 'after shed' photos. She was really on the move, and didn't want to 'pose', but I managed to get this one with natural light to show off her crescents. She eats really well, and has been so friendly. I swear sometimes I really think I can feel my snakes' personalities. She kept trying to climb back up on my arm as I was photographing her..and she wasn't cold at all.
