After how many months of breeding do you usually see ovulation or eggs?
every situation is different , It depends if everything is just right...temps , age of animals , etc . I have seen follicular development in a matter of 7 weeks . If your animals have been breeding for "months" and there are no follicles developing , I might be inclined to say that there is something wrong .
Thanks
She has been breeding since september. She is huge but she is still breeding with the male. I think that she has follicular development, just waiting to see how long it will take for the ovulation to arrive !!!
If she is noticebly bigger, as if shes ahs had a large meal , or seems very tight and stocky , chances are that her follicles have grown. Just keep and eye out for a 24 hour period where it looks like she a swallowed a football(large meal. You cannot miss it , and then suddenly she won't look AS huge but still big . Because once she ovulates , the eggs are forming and he rbody will become softer dut to the eggs feeling like soft marshmellows. The eggs as they mature will get more firm but at first you can hardly "FEEL" them because they are indeed soft .After she ovulates there is no need to bother her by palpating unless you have to know know how many eggs she is going to lay . hope it helps, and good luck
