where did you come by these. I love them. These snakes interested me when I saw your post. At first I though they were Xenopeltis hainanensis, but I see that the head is very different. However the one site that I've found (which you probably also found at this point) http://ecologyasia.com/verts/snakes/red-tailed_pipe_snake.htm
says something about their habitat which is very similar to the Xenopeltis. You might try to contact Speiss on this, since she kept several Xenopeltis (sunbeam snake). If you type in Xenopeltis unicolor or sunbeam snake you should be able to find her care sheet on that species. If they live in agricultural areas as it says I'm thinking rice paddies. How are they doing in captivity is my main question? It should enjoy very high humidity. She kept her Xenopeltis on a thick bed of aspen with a humidity of 80 to 100%. I am very interested in your thoughts and especially where you got them. Please write back. Please note I have no experience with your species, however I have been interested in getting some sunbeams (Xenopeltis) for some time, and it appears they live in at least very similar conditions so I've done a lot of research on them. Hopefully I don't waste your time. Very Cool snakes!!!
