BHB's White Sided Hypo Brooksi

Nokturnel Tom Feb 22, 2007 09:11 AM

At the NARBC show Lori from BHB was nice enough to take this guy out of the case for a quick picture. Not the best shot but you can see this particular one is more white than most would guess. It was really cool looking in person, I can not wait to see what these look like as adults, Tom Stevens

Now see. I really like those. I don't have any and wish this was a project I would have done.

As you know a lot of people were not that impressed with the whitesided hypo because people have only seen babies.. Personally I really like the whitesided hypos are going to turn out S M O K I N~!

well, that is what they look like as they grow. very nice. i hatched out two of those little buggers from a clutch of 7 eggs last summer, but they went fast so i didn't see the development.
very cool.

Since Hypos as they are have quite a few looks I think we will see many different versions of the White Sided Hypos too. Which is pretty cool is ya ask me Tom Stevens

What do you call these in your pictures here? They look like worms... Cool looking snakes though...

Definitely different. I do not like those as much since I guess the w/s trait also obscures the red/orange. What I had hoped for was a striking red/orange "stripe" down the center of a white-sided animal...
Saved me a year of waiting though, I guess

Sounds like you want a whitesided hypo patternless Blaze (who wouldn’t) In due time my boy, in due time...

CrimsonKing Feb 22, 2007 08:20 PM

Like i said, I think the w/s trait diffuses the red in the hypos...
Maybe someday, huh?
