wax to prevent fog?

joseph1 Aug 11, 2003 01:47 PM

Anyone tried using a natural wax on the inside of glass vivaruims to prevent fogging. I'm only using a small 20 gallon mostly sealed with a huge aquarium air pump to get in the fresh air but the thing still fogs up if I use the small water feature.
The humidity is basically saturation so I don't think the fan idea would do well. If I clean the glass so that condensation has nothing to form on then it is good for about 24 hours and then the frogs and flies trash the glass.
So I'm thinking like bees wax or something to prevent condensation. What do you think????

Many of you I'm sure don't bother with this, but if I have to raise thier food I should be able to look at the little guys at least.

I tried the rain-X stuff and it did not work. The thing I have found that works best is a 40mm computer fan, read the next msg.
