A cool Southern Pine from 2005

Nokturnel Tom Feb 22, 2007 11:49 AM

I have produced Southern Pines from my single pair for a good 5 years or so now. They're Patternless het Albinos. I get Normal Blotched, Albino Blotched, Normal Patternless, Albino Patternless and also the occasional oddballs as far unexpected color variants. If you read my posts about that a month or two ago you know this is something I hope to work on deciphering over the next several years. For now check this out. This Blotched Albino was pretty orange as a hatchling. I never would have guessed it would look the way it does a year later. I am definitely unsure of how it will look a year from now. Here's the baby pic from 2005...

Here's a bunch of pics from this past weekend

As adults most of mine look pale white with a dusting of Pink on the Ptternless ones like this one...

I need to find some baby pics from previosu years of what Amels usually look like from this pair I have, they're usually very pink. Both of these snakes are now owned by my good friend Scott Robinson, I am glad he lives here in Texas as I may need to borrow these guys for some more breeding! Tom Stevens

Oh yeah, that is the albino southern I talked to you about this past weekend Tom!
Very pretty!! It is very cool how her red is more of a lighter shade than a dark shade, and the ground color seems to have a hint of yellow maybe?
Yeah, a good example of how variable albino southerns can be. I have seen both darker red/white specimens and ones just like this one pictured. Very cool, and shoot...now I want one like this!!! The one I have now is more of the darker red and white.

Awesome!!!

Hmm..... that looks familiar. LOL!!! Good pics. It really shows the orange sherbert like colors in full spectrum lighting though. Hope it continues this kind of progress as he ages.

Cool!!! The pumpkin orange color is awesome, but I think it looks better now that the blotches are spaced out more! Kevin
