Does anyone else have thayeri that like to climb? I had always been told that thayeri were a ground snake, but mine loves to climb. She was constantly climbing and hanging on to the cage cover and hanging upside down, and she loves to burrow tunnels through her substrate. She would climb her plastic cactus, so I put a plastic branch in as well. Just as I thought, she loves to climb that as well. Also, she is the only snake I have seen that remains very active after eating. Other snakes I owned would hide and become inactive for two days after eating. My thayeri, within 15 minutes of consuming a meal, will be back to her old antics of hanging upside down from the roof of the cage and climbing over everything!!! Just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior in their thayeri or other mexicana.
