ChadRamsey Feb 22, 2007 03:29 PM

Hello all. I just got my first Pixie frog this morning. When i got him out of the deli cup he was shipped in i noticed that one of his eyes seems fixed and constricted. What do yall think about it?

Thanks
Chad

I have one with what looks like the same problem, but he can still catch his food pretty well.
here are some photos

It looks as if he might have suffered head trauma. He has eaten and appears to be ok.

I would ask for refund of money, unless frog has defactive eye. Don't think that can be caused by shipping. You should email seller and if he/she doesn't refund or give you credit on it. You should post a buyers beware.

oops meant to say unless seller says he's going to ship a frog with defactive eye to you.

thanks for the replys

Here is an email i sent him THE SAME DAY i received the frog.

From me:

Hello ***. I received the Eastern King and the baby Pixie frog today. I just want to bring to your attention that the Pixie frog has one bad eye. I have attached a picture to show you. Please tell me what you think.

from him:

Yep, it sure does. Sorry we did not notice that. Keep an eye on it (no pun, honest), and let's see what it looks like in a week or 2 or 3.

Thanks,

Sad seems like seller don't want to do anything about it and just leave as is. Hate it when they claim to not have noticed it. How much you paid for it? How it wasn't too much.

One drawback about dealing online, you never know what you gonna receive. For me personally I wouldn't mind as much if animal came in smaller than advertised(happens all the time) but an animal with flaws/defects I would not want.

I would seriously ask for compensation of some sort and if seller refuses, post a feedback on here or somewhere. What kind of seller would sell off a defective animal?

sorry went on too long

keep us updated

i payed $20 for him. he is eating just fine and it does not seem to be bother him too much. although i do not think that he can see out of it becausehe keep the "good" eye turned toward me when i feed him.

Update,

He without a doubt blind in that eye. He IS growing so fas, doubled in size since i got him. So i imagine that he is probably a she. But i can dangle his food item on that side of him and he will not respond, BUT when i move around to the good eye she goes bonkers for it.
