First time Python Shedding,

bryanlarrimore Feb 22, 2007 05:29 PM

Ok, so my python has been shedding for a couple of days, the skin that was over his face and eyes has already came off, but his body is still covered with the old skin. I spray the tank regularly and he has a full water bowl, how much longer do you think it will take for it to be removed, or should i give him a luke warm bath? Let me know what would be best.

Should be done in a few hours, please give it a warm soaking for about 20 min. you need to adjust your set up and add more humidty..

You've probably done the soak thing by now, but in case you haven't or for anyone else reading. Don't pull on the skin. Soak for 20-30 min. and let it crawl through your hands. It comes of fairly easily. It is kinda nasty to have the wet skin left in your hands, but they look so nice when fully shed.
