Rescued FL pine doing very well....

vvvddd Aug 11, 2003 02:20 PM

My advisor rescued this pine from his neighbor's lawn mower last march. The nearest suitable habitat had been destroyed the week before so I decided to hang on it. It was about hatchling size at the time but took mice and rat fuzzies right away. Since then he's really started to develop good color and has about doubled in size.

He looks very different from when I saw him. He used to almost look like a northern but he's definitely getting that FL pine look now. It looks like he's definitely put on some size while you were away.
Good luck with him,
Chris

That guy appears to be thriving. Was he found here locally in Brevard County?

Yup, right in the middle of West Melbourne. I've heard a rumor that the neighbor also recently found a 4 foot adult but I have no idea how true that one is.
