...When Rainbow Boas do not eat it is often because they are being kept too hot or too cold or too dry or in a cage with too much light or nearby activity. Guyanan Rainbows need a cage with the cool end in the low 70s and the warm end in the low 80s. They need humidity above 70% most of the time. Rainbow Boas will usually be more inclined to eat a live animal than a dead one and if it is a mouse they like them large enough to run around. They are also more inclined to eat in the dark with no activity around their cages. Some Guyanans may be more interested in a small bird or a lizard.
Good luck,
Jeff
>>I need help! I recieved a pair of wild caught guyana rainbows about a month ago and they have not fed since. They were treated for parasites and both have just recently shed. They appear to be in good condition except for the fact that they won't eat. I've tried live, pk, and ft mice and rats. Is there anything else I can do? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
