I.D. help, please

jazzmachine Feb 23, 2007 02:28 PM

I just recieved these last week, and was told they were Giant leaf tails (Uroplatus fimbriatus). Now a few different people have seen these and all have said theu were Henkeli's. Just wondering if anybody can help clear this up. Thanks for any and all advice/help. Sorry if the pics are not that great to help out.

Female:

There was only one shot.

Hope those are better shots.

Why the gloves? Is this species very prone to biting or something?

Well they are new to us, and I'm not into getting bit. It's just just until we get to know them better.

Fair enough - I was just curious if they had a rep for being fierce like Tokays or something.
