Hi!
My female eastern is in the nest box since 2 weeks and she's now in shed....It's my first time breeding those so i don't know what to do.
Thank's
Justin
don't worry, be patient & do not feed her. i had a uni once that didn't lay until the 24th day after her shed. good luck!
Patience is a virtue when working with indigos. I would also add to make sure the ambient humidity levels are high inside the egg laying box and make sure the box is placed in an area where it is not too hot (nothing over 80-82 deg F.) and not too cool (nothing lower than the mid 70's). Keep us posted. Rob

Hope it's another great year for you Mike! The kids I got from you last year are absolutely beautiful and doing well.
Mike
Thanks for taking good care of them!

Nope, but I sure hope to have my first eggs next year!

So far she's popped out 12 great looking eggs and 2 small misshapen ones.
I think she's done, but she's still in the nest so maybe there's one or two more to come.
HS! Hope they're all fertile. I'm waiting on one Texas and one Eastern to lay any day. Other Easterns are in the pre-event shed.
Glad to hear you are having success.
I hope they all hatch and thrive.
Good luck, and keep up the great work.
Justin

Well, the first that came out on their own anyway. My biggest female surprised me by laying 8 eggs even though I doubted she was gravid.
6 of them were clearly duds, but two of them have the right texture, so maybe I'll get lucky in a hundred days or so.
We had a very interesting clutch of yellow tail cribos dropped a week ago. 22 beautiful eggs except they are more yellow than I could even color with a marker. Great shape, size and calcium, haven't changed shape, color, or mold. The calcium was too thick to see veins but everything else points to being fertile. Our other girl had 15 perfectly normal eggs. Any body else have yellow FERTILE eggs?
Rob
Are you using any vitamin supliments that could affect color? Reptile eggs have very little actual calcium they are mostly white membrane and yes I have hatched yellow good eggs. Congradulations by the way. Good Job!

That girl is an absolute machine.
Did you hold any babies back last year?
Good luck this year...
Great to see you around! Yes, she is a machine. She started eating again today like nothing happened.
I kept one female last year, she's doing great. I'm still trying to get some new blood into the project. Hopefully this year.
How about you? Anything cooking?
Thanks for the great snakes!
Mike
