Does anyone breed and feed their own gerbils to their ball pythons? I am thinking about doing this , I know that they breed slower than rats and mice but I am wondering if they are a better food prey, any comments, suggestion , or advice is welcome.

Ive heard that gerbils are more of a "treat" for BP's. Like ball pythons really enjoy eating a gerbil. Ive personally never breed gerbils but if they produce slower than rats and mice I would suggest doing it. I used to breed my own mice and found myself with like 50 mice at a time and worthlessly killing some or throwing some away because thats just too much. Plus mice are like cockroaches too me, I could care less about any of them. They are not cute or fun in any way.
