These guys have some serious swallowing ability. Not only can he manage this adult mouse, he'll want another.

I am considering purchasing one of these guys. Do they have any crazy humidity requirements? I have a pair of Asian Vines and they were a nightmare to get the humidity to 100%. Do these guys typically have a good temperment? The info on the web is very limited to their care in captivity, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

They don't have high requirements. I keep mine in an arboreal cage, but I don't think it's necessarry. It just makes for a nice display. You could probably keep them in rack systems as long as they have some space to stretch out.

They aren't really aggressive. As babies they're a bit spastic and they get mellower as they grow. Mine have never musked when handled.

They can handle huge meals too and normally take f/t rodents right from the start.

They are rather jumpy when handled, which is the only downside I find with them. For me that's fine as I don't tend to handle the critters much.

I'll get more pictures soon... soon as I replace my camera that broke yesterday.
