lepidus klauberi (Peloncillo NM) pics

lepidus-klauberi Feb 24, 2007 02:05 PM

Just wanted to share some pictures of one of my ’06 Peloncillo Mountains, New Mexico lepidus klauberi. She was the only one that would “cooperate”. I truly wish my photography skills were much better, because her colors and contrasts are gorgeous. I think that the Peloncillo locality can be some of the prettiest specimens that come out of New Mexico. Maybe one day I'll purchase a nice Canon digital and learn to take better pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Wow, now I'm not usually a big Crotalid fan, but that's an animal that could make even me thing twice about keeping them.

I've always said that I would stick to keeping Texas leps & klaubs only, but John is making that difficult! By the way, John & I did a West Texas trip last June and had a great time.

Jenny,
Were you asking about the snake on the red background? if so, that's one of my baby Mottled Rock Rattlesnakes from my Juno Road locality.
