Back on the Kick

I don't want to push the issue and I know "Buyer Beware" but seriously, how can you sell an unproven morph for $$$$$$? If it is unproven, doesn't that pretty much make it a normal? I have seen several classifieds of "New Morph" "Unproven But The Others were REAL COOL". I have a "Real Cool" Chocolate Hypo. That is unproven, it is a cool looking normal, not a $3,000 Cool new Morph. There needs to be some standard or we're going to keep getting every little it has a black dot on the third ventral scale morph. I love the "MORPHS" just as much as anyone else. I don't understand the differences in some and how it is not just a nice normal, but seriously.

If I'm wrong, I apologize. There are just so many proven morphs, it is hard to keep up and know what you are looking at when everyone has the "Newest/Coolest/Maybe it's something".

And I know you are talking about those ads on KS that just look silly but, all of the morphs that we buy for a few K or even as little as $200.00 now started off as an unproven morph that someone paid tens of thousands for. I understand that there is a difference between some yahoo on KS and some yahoo in Africa but even the big guys have gotten burned and there are some really subtle morphs out there that produce some sick supers.

OK, I'll give you that one.

I think it was the post(I won't get specific but)that had something to do with "blah blah balh, some one else had one that had awesome babies". I personally want to know the other guy ane get the awesome offspring. Maybe I just have trust issues when more than a couple hundred is involved.

Reasons I'm not an importer!!! If I can't be there...

I just wanted to point out that risk is some times worth it. I won't shell out big bucks on unproven either unless it is something really weird.

Hard to state in the right way, I will by an "Unproven" if I like the snake. For instance, If a piebald was an unproven morph. I would be willing to pay a little more whether it proved out or not. Have you seen the dark pied from the Arlington show? I'd give good money just for that whether it proved out or not.

Another true example: I bought a het Albino from BHB at Arlington. I may have been screwed but I paid $75 and I like the way the guy looks. It is orangeish peach up the sides, looks alot like my Pastel Sib. If it goes nowhere, I've got an awesome snake. But if you're talking thousands for potential. I'm not your guy.

Qualifier: I do not think BHB would screw anyone. I talked to Brian personaly. Great guy and I trust him 100%. Just using an example. He is the only one I have puchased a Het from.

Just don't buy them! Simple as that.
