Constricting

Jonasgn Aug 11, 2003 03:38 PM

Hello. I just want to ask if it`s true that yellow anacondas often won`t constrict their prey. Insted they just slowly grab it and start to swallow it right away.

In captivity this is a fairly common occurance with many varities of snake. I have a number of snakes which seem to know the diference between dead and live prey and will only lazily wrap their prey at best.

` I am NOT suggesting this practice to anyone. Do it with the wrong snake, and you could get dead!!!!
