cleaning pre used cage?

I saw some posts on here on what to clean a used tank with. It was used for fish previously and has no odor now but I would like to clean it first. what is best? Thanks for replies. also should I just used UTH and no heat lamps? I have noticed he seems to shy away from the lights, but I am worried UTH will not heat the tank enough. What do you guys use for them to rub against when shedding.

I could not remember if it was vinegar or ammonia. I thought it was vinegar but not sure. Hi ho hi ho it's off to clean i go.....
