ATTN. all Bay Area and Nor. Cal boa folk

RuBeN14 Feb 25, 2007 12:58 PM

I've been talking to Brett Thacker about trying to organize a get together for all of the Bay Area/Nor Cal boa folks. Something to get to know everyone else that is around that have never had a chance to meet. I'm trying to get an idea of how many might be interested and where would be a good place. Some ideas were a weekend in Reno or Tahoe or somewhere in the middle. So if your interested and or have other ideas of where we could go please reply or e-mail. The Reno Tahoe idea were based on if someones driving a long distance they wouldn't have to drive back later that day but we're all open to suggestions. The last time we did something like this we went to Derek Yagi's house but hopefully there will be more people so we'd have to go somewhere that will fit everyone. Think about it and let me or Brett know.

Thanks, Ruben Michel

Ruben, that's one of Ron's Sharps right? Do you happen to have a picture of her as a baby? I just wanted to compare the changes and increase in color that occurs to try and gauge where my girl is heading. Thanks!

RuBeN14 Feb 25, 2007 02:39 PM

these were taking when she was about whe she was almost three feet and the pic in the post was when she was lamost 5ft.

bthacker Feb 25, 2007 02:41 PM

No freebie shots for Chris........ Only if he makes it out here so we can corrupt his good and senseful mind ....LOL

ChrisGilbert Feb 25, 2007 03:16 PM

if you guys want to cover my plane ticket!

ChrisGilbert Feb 25, 2007 03:20 PM

Thanks for the pics. I think your girl has mine beat on color, lol. The most important trait for me was pattern.

Also, I think ours aren't too closely related. I think the parents to yours ended up slugging out last year. That was the litter I was going to get one from if everythig worked out.

By the end of '08 we might have Sharp Snows, Sharp SnowGlows, Hypo Paradigms, Motley Paradigms, Hypo Motley Paradigms, Motley Sharps and Motley Sharp Sunglows. I know some are possible this year. All I can say is I need more!

Ok, take care and I'll let you guys go back to your Cali fun!

RuBeN14 Feb 25, 2007 03:25 PM

different male cause the female he used was a sister to the male that ended up being a sharp het anery so he bred a triple het male to try to prove her out to be het anery also but she wasn't. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

ChrisGilbert Feb 25, 2007 04:28 PM

I think you are right. Because mine was from the Sharp female that did not prove out to be het Anery.

dyagi Feb 25, 2007 02:53 PM

bthacker Feb 25, 2007 03:01 PM

RuBeN14 Feb 25, 2007 03:20 PM

ski/snowboard don't let that shy anyone way. Nothings set in stone yet plus I know everyone doesn't ski/snowboard but still knows how to gamble, drink and hold down the cabin for a couple of hours then we got the nite life!

nickstone Feb 25, 2007 03:36 PM

I'd be interested in meeting some more of you guys. I live in cameron park, its kinda between sacramento and tahoe by placerville

bthacker Feb 25, 2007 04:09 PM

I misplaced your number....

lexxxx300 Feb 26, 2007 04:15 PM

count me in. If I remember correctly Ruben knows how to party...lol. Derek watch out!

bthacker Feb 26, 2007 11:06 PM

Ruben....chop chop....let's get this thing organized!

Matt....no worries. I promise we won't party too hard like Daytona.....I can't...especially with only half of my liver functioning properly...

mdc Feb 26, 2007 04:58 PM

I don't know, a second vacation with Ruben and Brett within 6 months. I'm still recovering from Daytona. I might be convinced though. Don't forget about Dave Lee too.

Matt

lexxxx300 Feb 26, 2007 06:39 PM

Anything hopeful with the Red albinos. I 100% want a female.

Alex

rainbowsrus Feb 27, 2007 12:09 AM

I'm definately interested..... set it up Rueben and we'll all see if we can make the dates. Depending on number of us, there's a cabin off of Pioneer trail I know of, 6 beds plus a couple of couches and a pool table. Definately cheaper than hotel/motel when split several ways. Btw, it has a big enough driveway for 4 to 6 cars, a huge plus in Tahoe!!

Shane: The male hypo Pos. Het Albino I got from you in 04 is finally getting the job done. My patience sure has been tested, but finally I might get some results. And the female should be ready to go next season.

So who is going to have the sweet Red Group litter this year? I know Fred and I had a nice litter last year from our breeding project. So who got Mr Red this year for breeding loan?

late May from Mr. Red. Matt has him now but he is tired and not doing much from him. I'm going to try to get up that way this weekend and we'll talk.

Alex

edkim Feb 27, 2007 03:30 PM

i could have, but the female passed away.

the male in with her is Mr. Red. they were courting for about 2 months before she passed.

RuBeN14 Feb 27, 2007 09:28 AM

figure out which weekend the most people can attend. Also, anyone else know of any other cabins like Dave C. suggested? Dave that place sounds cool, are there any other units close to it to maybe get two or is it a lone cabin? Shane, do you know of any spots around the area you mentioned?

rainbowsrus Feb 27, 2007 12:04 PM

There are probably other cabins around thaqt neighborhood but that's the only one I know of and the immediate neighboring cabins appear to be live ins, not rentals.

Once we found this one, we go back there every year.
