Can anyone give me the name of a filter for a ten gallon tank that only needs a few inches of water to function? I have a baby snapper in shallow water but all the filters I have seen have to have water to the top to work.
Thanks for the help

I use a little 10 gallon capacity Duetto. It'll run ya about 20 bucks. It can be laid on its side and still works great. A bit smaller than the Fluval 1 too. Heres a link to one...www.reptiledirect.com/product.asp?0=224&1=297&3=102
This is a good one for hatchlings since it is a submersible filter that will work in 2 inch deep water.
One more thing...
Its a great filter at keeping the smaller stuff out of the tank. But make sure there arent too many obstacles in the way of the filter. Since hatchlings are little poop machines, it collects under rocks and stuff....I have to move my stuff around daily to make sure the water doesn't get too dirty.
Oh, and for hatchlings put the setting midway between min and max on the filter...max is too strong for most little ones
