black rat snakes

i have a match pare of rat snakes.both found in september of last year.the female is 20 inches long and the male is 10(due to the previous owner didnt feed it for about 3 mounths)will he catch up to her in size or continue to stay small?both are pigs.

well if its 10inches then he wasnt even born that long ago , he can eventualy catch up with her if u pump him up , throw him and extra pinky or sumthn per week or evry other week. . in reality it doesnt matter the size of the male as long as hes relativly close to the size of the female .just pump her and him up and in about a year or two you should be good you can probly breed them in 08' if u get lucky

sounds like the larger one is a year older than the other. Can't bridge the age gap. The younger one will grow until he stops growing just as the older one will grow until she stops growing. Who knows, the genetics of the male may wind up him being the larger of the two down the road when both are full grown.
