What line is the best? Pictures of babies and adults wanted!

The overall consensus seems to favor the VPI line over the other proven lines of Axanthic. I have seen some amazing babies from both the Snakekeeper line and the VPI line, and if you are looking to buy into a line of Axanthic, I would go with one of those two. I have never seen a nice adult Joliff line, not to say there aren't any, but I would not buy into the Joliff line myself. I have heard that there is a new proven line from Nerd, but know nothing about it.

The pics are VPI line Axanthic with a Sable and a high gold Het Hypo.

In my humble opinion, NERD's line of axanthics looks the best to me.

Attached photo is an animal owned and photographed by NERD. (I believe it's also the male the line is derived from. Correct, Kevin?))

NERD's Pastel Axanthic, Axanthic BumbleBees, and Axanthic KillerBees were all created using their own line of Axanthic. (Correct, Kevin?)

Also a nice line is The SnakeKeeper's 'Charcoal Axanthic' line. If I recall correctly, the Charcoal Axanthics are from the same line as their 'regular' Axanthics, just that their line throws two distinct appearances. I've seen numerous photos of hatchling SK line Axanthics, and some have some slight brown tones (regular SK axanthic?) and some are nothing but gray, black, and white tones (Charcoal Axanthic?)

The Charcoal Axanthics darken with age and are quite nice as well. If I also recall correctly, The SnakeKeeper's Snow was made using the Charcoal Axanthic, and thus has become more white over time, just as the Charcoal darkens with time. (Correct, Dan or Colette?)

If any of the above info is incorrect, someone feel free to correct me. I like to think my memory is good, but, with each passing week it seems the vast amount of Ball Morph info becomes well, just that, more vast.

PS: Kevin, just let me know if you'd have any problems with me posting your image.

...that, IMHO, every line of Axanthic (VPI, Joliff, SK, NERD, D&M) is capable of producing good and bad examples.

I don't think 'bad' Axanthics necessarily reflect on the overall quality of the individual line, but rather on the amount of yellow displayed in the normals used in breedings. Know what I mean?

Question:

How does the amount of yellow in the normal used to breed to an axanthic change what the axanthic's offspring look like?

Would a high gold create a more brownish axanthic or a more silver?

Just wondering how it all works.

Simple terms. I know the axanthic gene reduces the amount of yellow. That is why albinos turn to snows and pastels are roughly black and white. But those are morphs as well.

That is a picture of a male but the original was a female imported baby from LA reptile. We bred this to a bumble bee and made the double hets and the rest is kind of history. They are pretty for sure and seem quite nice as adults.

I still really like the VPI line and hope that these two lines are compatible. I have tried breeding hets of two lines together and failed to make anything visible but I could have easily have whiffed so i am still not sure if ANY are compatible.
