Escapee found

KenCasstevens Feb 26, 2007 01:52 PM

This male got out a few days ago, and despite constant looking I couldn't find him. Then I was taking a shower, and went to turn the water off when low, and behold there he was about halfway out of the drain. I quess he got tired of being pelted with water, soap, and shampoo, and decided to come out of hiding. It's amazing he made it through it at all because that water was pretty hot, but he seemed no worse for ware, and ate right after that.

Couldn't help but notice the cool head pattern on that one. Given that you recovered that guy gotta wonder if there isn't something lucky about a four cloved head pattern.

just be glad you didnt have a snake-hating female in that shower at hat time... you might not have ever found him. he is one lucky lil guy!!! I currently have an escapee... actually my first one i havent found immediately. probably b/c i dunno what day he got out. but its my new jungle corn. he's Neon orange in color. I'd be surprised if he's alive, but in my zoo house.... i'm doubting to find him alive...but i'm still searching... congrats on your find!!!!

Wow, what a strange way to find a snake! That's awesome, though, he sure is a pretty one. Glad he's back home!

I'm surprised he came out of the drain but not surprised at being in the shower. When I was younger and raise several gopher snakes the shower was one of their favorite spots to hang out in( my adult gophers were pretty much allowed to roam like an indoor cat). Lucky for me my mom was very tolerant of her sons snakes lol.

Give a whole new meaning to "drain snake".
I'm glad you got that beauty back safe and sound.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad he's back too. He was the one that started it all for me. I bought him, and a female from Tim G., and the rest is history. That was only a little over two years ago, and now I have 9.13 thayeri. Yeah, I would say that is an addiction. This little yellow/bronze girl is from Tim as well.
