this year I will be trying to prove a possible amel blood. I am pairing her with a known bloodred. Let me make sure I understand the bloodred (diffused) genetics. If the bloodred male is not het for amel, then I will not get amel bloods. But, since the female might be an amel blood, I should still get normal bloods If she really is an amel blood, correct? Now, I know the "bloodred" color is selectively bred, will the babies be less "bloodred" looking and just be diffused, but more normal in color?
If the female is not amel blood, but just a normal amel (with very interesting coloring and belly pattern), then I should only get normals het for diffused, right?
I know some genetics, but since bloodred is both a selective bred color and the diffused gene, I wanted to make sure I have it correct. Plus, the addition of amel is kinda throwing me off. LOL.
Any feedback appreciated.
