My latest rescue/adoption from PNHS.. No one else wanted to take her or deal with her so I finally gave in and adopted her. Man is this one AWESOME snake! 7ft or so, 12-15lbs, 9 years old with a healthy disposition and hiss like a freight train.

IM into gophers and have a sd gopher that is about 5'3" and i feed him about 3-4 adult mice ever 8-10 days or whenever he seems to need food. But what on earth do you feed a bullsnake that is reaching 7 and a half fee that is as big around as a chili can? Do you feed him bunnies?

And where do you house him? That has to be one massive caging stucture.

I just got her, but her former owner fed her jumbo rats... Which is no biggie to me.. I breed Taiwan beauties, and they get jumbo rats too. LOL. Given they aren't nearly as bulky, but they are longer..

Ive seen some pix of em but i had no idea they were larger in length than bull snakes. I was looking into getting a bull like that one but i was wondering what you would also keep it in? A normal 4 1/2 ft x 2 1/2 ft wouldnt do it would it? And about how large is a jumbo rat. I know the sixe of large rats but a how much bigger is a jumbo than that?

The record is 11ft.. More commonly 8-9ft. Problem with people though is that they don't feed beautys' metabolisms.. They hit 5-6ft in one year, and 7-8 in the next couple.. People who breed them at 4-5ft should be shot. My male is heading towards 9ft, and my females who produced for the first time this year are a little over 7.. But they aren't nearly as bulky as bulls. My big male is under half the thickness of this huge fat bullsnake. As for bull care, i'm the wrong one to ask. I'm new at this too. Never kept a pit in my life. As for jumbo rats, different people have different sizes.. jumbos are usually just the biggest they can produce..

Looks almost identical to mine (bigger though). Do you know if it was Alpine locality?
Thanks

I just got a new one that's about that fat, too. Mine won't be happy about it, but I put her butt on a diet as soon as I saw her. Too fat to be healthy and too fat to successfully breed reliably. I don't like fat snakes....lol.

Great looking coloration to that snake you have there, though. I'd feed it small meals to thin it down a little bit for the next year or 20....lol.
