gargoyle gecko bedding

ferretlover187 Aug 11, 2003 05:59 PM

Hi, I was wondering what kinds of substrates/beddings are good to keep Gargoyle Geckos on. I want something natural, not paper towels or newspaper. People say that potting soil w/o chemicals and Canadian sphagnum peat moss is a good mixture for Gargoyle bedding, but I want to know what you have to say. Does anybody have any suggestions??

Thanks,
Lisa

ive kind of looked at them with some interest but havent researched alot yet. i believe their a tropical gecko that likes humidity so some kind of substate that will hold humidity good like mulch or something sim will work. I put my Tokay hatchlings on bark mulch the day they hatch and have never had a prob. i regulary see them get a piece of bark in their mouth when snatching crickets and they have a way of swallowing the cricket and spitting out the bark. i know the Crocs are small, the Tokays are only about a inch long when hatched. good luck with them, there cool
