You pretty much got it right, The only thing I have to add is it looks more like a Super Hypo then a Hypo. Watch it as it grows up & as long as no spots develope on the body it would be a Super Hypo, if it does develope a spot our two then it's a Hypo.
It's been my observation you can't really lable them a Hypo or Super Hypo with 100% acuracy until there at least 9 months old. I've had some I thought were Hypos loose the spot or two they had as they got older & had some Super Hypos end up developing a spot or two as they grew up.
Also what I've found is you can't really put a Baldy lable on them until there almost a year old. I've seen some geckos gain or loose spots on there head as they got older as well.
Other wise, it is a pretty gecko.

It all depends on the line you are working with... Some lines are pretty reliable and if you have the "eye" you can tell very early on, what its going to be...

At any rate, that leo posted in the pic above IS a SHTCTB...

Great find at that price for sure...

Very good point. I should also clarifie the individuals I've seen loose or gain spots are only a small percentage.

sweet! i saw a pic of a super hypo, super is "better" right? i hope it doesn't get spots on it's head, kinda fun to say you have a bald gecko i have no idea how old it is, not full grown yet, but i think it's about 6-7 inches now, more towards 7 probally. i'm thinking about breeding it when it gets older, what do you think? it sucks cause i don't know what traits it carries, maybe the babies will help determine that. thanks for the reply!

It's deffantly a Super hypo tangerine carrttail.I personly don't like the term (Baldy) but your free ofcourse to use the term if you wish.

good to know! i looked at pics of them and mine looks exactly like them. i like the term, it's kinda funny. just curious, is there another name you preffer to call them if there arn't any spots on the head? thanks again!

For me the order is but this is not every one view other i'm sure some will disagree but i like thing clean cut.So;
All the below if orange add tangerine .

Normal=full of spots.

Reduced normal=Normal with reduced spot.

Hi-yellow=Spots on head/cluster of spots on back within the darker bands/Spots on tail.
http://www.crestedgecko.com/lg502f ap.JPG

Hypo=Spot on head/NO spot on tail/Spot on tail.
http://www.crestedgecko.com/lg501f ap.JPG

Super hypo=NO spots on head/NO spot on body/spots on tail.

And that's why i don't do (BALDY's).
