I've started putting my breeders together, and I was just wondering who some of you are going to pair up this year. I think these two will have some awesome babies.

This is the pair that produced that bright orange baby with the black face last year. They've both gained some size, and I expect a big clutch from her.

This is their only surviving baby from last year.

look what FINALLY happened lastnight for like 3 hours! i felt bad for them and was tired so i eventually broke them up. i'll put them back together tomorrow when i'm off...

Don't break them up. Let them stay locked up as long as they want to. As long as they're full you can leave them together for hours. I usually wait until the next day after I feed them to put them together. As soon as you see them lose interestet take him out, and put them back together in a few days the day after the next feeding. I usually like to witness 2-3 lock-ups before I'm convinced.

Man, you are about a month ahead of me. I will be pairing these two again (they produce the aberrant and thin band ones) and I hope to put a couple more girls with the male (like this MSP). I will only have one male again this year, the spotted male is still too small.

Actually I'm not positive I'm going to breed Mildred this year. I may give her a year off. She went into brumation a bit under weight. I'll see how good her feeding responds is when I start warming them up.
