Growing like a weed!

This is a little male that I picked up for $30 at Petco because I liked his look. I had originally hoped he might be an ugly black pastel, but I don't think so anymore.

Either way, he's a nice dinking project.

He's a pretty little snake! I love the Petco finds. The one near me got in a leopard gecko last month that had red edges on all the yellow parts. Periscope was a Petco find too. Keep us posted!

Ask Petco if they have any "Damaged" pets. I got a couple of Leos for free. They came in with lost tails so they couldn't be sold. One was patternless and the other was an albino.
Also know what you are getting. They sell the animals as "What they come in as." I argued for 10 minutes over the difference in a South American Red-Tail and a Columbian Red-Tail. One is $89 and the other is $169 but they don't know the difference.

Lead us not into temptation. We can find it on our own.

I worked there, I know about the free critters. Ask for adoptions, they're free too. If you adopt a small animal, especially a guinea pig or bunny, you get a free coupon book too.
Technically the 'damaged' critters should be given out as adoptions. Your Petco isn't following Plans and Procedures :P
