I use a Herpstat with my incubator. So far it has been working just fine for a year. I also bought it at the Bean Farm. Those folks are great. Cheers

I just bought four Herpstat ND from MG Reptiles and got a better deal than Bean Farm. Give Matt a shot at the price.

These thermostats are truly a blessing for herpers.

Just a few days ago I ordered my last two and I gave Matt the price through Bean Farm and he beat it and included shipping.

i just checked mg's site and it's only $2 cheaper than bean farm. i'm more looking for a fast shipping, how's is mgreptiles shipping goes? thanks for the info and i might go for mg!

How about the shipping cost?

I paid with Pay Pal and got the thermos within a week. Email Matt and ask him.

I picked up two of the Herpstat Pro's late last year from Beanfarm. I have to say I love them!! I'm using them to control RHP's in my Oak BRB breeding cages. I've been tweaking the temps up and down throughout the breeding season. And WOW it's so easy to adjust temps AND there's a built in night drop function. The probes are 10' so easy to reach different locations in the stack. I'm using one channel to control each pair of cages (stack 1 top row, stack 1 2nd row etc.) and have been able to control each level much better than I used to ba able to with a single thermostat.

(older pics pre-RHP/Herpstat Pro but you get the idea)

What is the size of your RHP's? I am trying to find some but hard to justify the price for each cage.

rainbowsrus Feb 28, 2007 02:53 PM

MY RHP's are 12 x 9 's I went with the Pro Products ones and you can't just order them, you have to give details about your cage construction/materials, room temps, occupant desired temps etc and they work out the appropriate size and wattage RHP for your application.

Yeah, thay are pricey but they do work really well and come with a long guaranty. For me the 16 RHP's were less than the value of one litter of BRB's, so was easy to justify.
