That is a awesome snake!!! I think that Longicauda's are some of the most underated boas out there, becuase it takes so long for them to actually develop their true colors. Truly Beautiful snake. I always love your posts,
Chaz

Just, WOW... That is a very sharp looking BCL, Gus! I have always prefered the heavy black BCLs, but that one could definitely sway my judgement.

Money shot of my Anery Russo/Denton pair:

RioBravoReptiles Feb 28, 2007 03:47 PM

.. those are pretty, and they do look anerythristic.
.
I have to confess that I am not a true- believer in anerythristic Longicauda. One of my best friends ever, Vin Russo does believe in them (and he should know). When I look at nice black longicauda I see hypermelanistic., not anerythristic. But that's just me and in fact my eye-sight is not what it used to be!
.
Here's a pic for you of that boa I posted in this thread and a sibling (neither are anerythristic, but one sure looks like it is!).
.

.
Good luck with your nice boas, whatever they are!

Had to add a few more since they do not seem to pop up on the forum much. First picture is of a 05' taken in early 06' the other couple are of the same 05' girl taken today. She was a really fussy eater for about a year, so that is why she is so small.

All were produced by Mark "whitneywee".

05'

2006's

Thanks for looking,

Chris

that is the kind I am looking for.....could you tell when it was younger what it might turn into or???

TnK Mar 01, 2007 08:25 PM

BCL are a trip, their litters can be consistant with the breeding pair and yet still throw a curve-ball or two that would never figure into the mix ???
Awesome animals indeed.
