How's your girl doin?
Joel
Joel she is becoming very beautiful. She's very bright, developing awesome orange. She eats everything in sight. Weight is about 51 grams and increasing daily. Laid back, not afraid of hands. I couldn't ask for a nicer little girl.
Oh, and she's developing the lavender side bars. Just for an added treat I guess. Her tale is on the second shed. So shortly she'll go back into the body shed. When thats done I'll post another pic.
Take care,
Karen

The human eye is subjective, computers are not, soooo...
looking at the picture with color samples enlarged and seperated you can see there are several dominant colors. When you blend them together it gives the dragon a redish/orange/rust color with greens. The top 4 colors are samples from your pic, the bottom 2 colors are red and orange.
We all know that dragons change color all the time, especially when we want them fired up. I have dragons that looked like normals as juvies and they are vibrant colored adults. I just got several babies that were smokin' when I opened the box and now a week later they look blahhhhh. It's a fact we have to live with. it's a fact you need to teach your customers quick.
good luck

orange/red on my monitor. But, looking at the side colors you put in, it appears to have burgundy, red, brown, and orange in it???

here is a pic of a saphire dragon I got sight unseen for $200. when I got it I was disappointed. As you can see by the pic, colors do change!

Wow,, that is a change.
I think you are misunderstanding my objective here. The dragon I posted has not been sold, nor the color questioned. I am not in any way, trying to prove the color of a dragon or prove any point to any customers. (If a customer asks "do you know what they will look like as adults?" I will and do let them know, I can not guarantee what any dragon will look like as an adult. I make it known that it could go either way, better to worse or worse to better) So hopefully they understand that.
What I'm getting at here is, it just seems, people are seeing different colors from the same pics. That is not the first pic I have posted on this forum where some people thought it was red, others brown, some orange, rust, etc. (when the pic I am seeing is orange pattern on brown dragon, as is the dragon, in this case)
Not only my pics,,but when I saw it happening to others, I figured there has to be more to it.
Someone posted a pic the other day that they said had been sold and the person thought the pic made it look red but when they got the dragon, it didn't have much color at all. The pic I saw looked like the flash didn't go off so the whole pic was rich, including the sand, but it did not look red to me, just darkened or richened because the basking light in the back made the "backlight" feature over compensate. I've had some come out the exact same.
I hope that explains my curiosity and purpose of the "color test" a little better.

P.S.
From the pixel color samples you took from my pic in your post above,,, the red and orange boxes on the bottom, Is the orange one supposed to look orange like an "Orange" Crayola Crayon? Because it really looks more like a very "yellow/orange" to me.
Thanks for your help.
Joel
