Froggie got a scare

booja Mar 01, 2007 06:21 PM

I have a green tree frog that my daughters friend caught at her Grandpa's house last summer, his name is Buddy, I have his cage next to me on the computer table, he is special, my daughters friend had caught other tree frogs but as soon as they found a way out they left, Buddy has gotten out but he just sits on top of the cage until I see him and put him back, today when I got back from the store I saw that the cage had been knocked over, my cat's have always been interested in him so I thought they had eaten him, luckly though about 20 minutes later I found him in another room, quite a scare for the poor little guy. He was a darker green than he usualy was, he was dirty from being on the floor so I washed him up and fixed up his cage and got him some more fresh water to sit in, he seems to be his normal color now.

I hope you're taking some time to figure out a way to secure the lid and tank against future incidents because if not one day the frog will be injured and die or be killed outright. I am glad your frog seems to be OK this time. I would think you are a cruel person if you do not take some steps to lessen known dangers for the animal.
