I finally found the article in Copeia about the hybrid Box turtle. It's in Vol. 4 of 1968 pg. 874 and 875. It has 3 black and white pictures. The turtle was found in 1967 in Missouri and was in the author's personal collection. The author was Joseph P. Ward, Department of Zoology, University of Missouri.
