really confused.....rack heating help

mark_andersen Mar 01, 2007 10:16 PM

hey everyone. k so i just built a little for my two bp's( 2 tubs)
and i am so confused on how to controle the tempature of the temp of the tub, i could get a rotary dimmer switch, that will put out a tempature but it wont keep the tub a a consistant temp, but if i use a thermostat i can keep a consistent temp but you need probes and i dont no how you would hook up 2 probes into two bins becouse thermostats ive seen only come with 1 probe.( and the huge price tag). but if you could post pics and information on how to do all this that would be so great.

thanks mark

Mark, Use one strip of Flexwatt to heat both tubs from the back, and you will only need a probe for one tub. Both will be the same temp. You will have to test temps. for your particular rack...but for a starting point place probe about midway of the tub and set thermostat at 86-87 and see if it gives you 90-92 in the back. I'm assuming the rack is a closed one...whatever the case make sure you test temps. for your particular rack.
