I do ...I do...lol. We've found them to be forgiving. They definitely enjoy climbing, so some sort of vine or branch would be appreciated. They seem to tame down quite easily. My husband was attracted to the one that was the fiestiest of the group but instead opted for the coloration that he preferred most because we knew in advance that the fiesty one would not stay that way. Here is a web site for more info. http://www.google.com/search?q=trinket snake&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7SUNA
I find with this type that there are a few websites but they disagree quite a bit, for instance one site will say adult length is 70cm another will say 130cm. That is a huge difference. Personally I have many snakes. I know that the ones that get big generally put on most of their length and weight in the first couple of years. Our trinket simply is not growing fast enough that I would expect her to reach that 130cm length listed on this site. Although some individuals are slow growers, I would expect them to some degee to also be poor eaters, and she is not. She is very easy. Cool color, almost like having two snakes in one. I would definitely recommend getting one they are neat. Probably the biggest challenge with this snake is to not loose a grip on it when it is a baby they are lithe and fast, but great snakes. Go for it! We love our Shiva!

Talked to my husband, since she is really his snake. He agrees that there is not a lot of info on them yet. We have basically been keeping her within Corn snake specifications for heat and humidity. That being said she has had no issues. She is healthy and appears happy (since she is not being agressive). There is one thing to look out for that I just thought of. We keep her in a ten gallon fish tank with appropriate lights and heat pad, and yes before anyone jumps on me for her small space we will upgrade that space as necessary, but she is still small. She has two hides and a screen top that is clamped down with the L (or V shaped clips). One thing about her is that they are semi-arboreal (thats what liturature on this snake says anyway). I would be more apt to say that they are arboreal at least as juveniles. When she was little enough and thin enough she liked to wedge herself between the cage top and the lip of the tank. You have to be really careful in this case with the lights. The light should be one of the small ones set in the middle of the screen so that she is far enough away to not be burned, or better yet don't sit the light on the tank at all but utilize the clamp. Also make sure those clips are so tight that you have a hard time taking them off (I generally use a butter knife to pry them off with
As babies these guys are so small I feel that escape is likely your biggest concern. Also when you put your beautiful Trinket away and lock down the top again be sure to grab the top and pull up. These clamps can loosen from being taken off and put on many times. They should be checked for tightness every time you go into the cage. They can easily be tightened by squeezing the ends together.

...whith the above posts. Very easy, nippy when young, cool snakes!
All I can add are pics:

In all fairness, this little girl below is all worked up because she had just been probed. Normally she is very mellow.

The store I frequent had them recently and probably still does, and they do ship, but likely you will find them at the show. The one we bought was 45.00 I think. Definitely not a snake that breaks the bank, and should be cheaper of course at the show you will attend. Let us know how it goes! Good luck!

Here are pictures of my Trinkets.
First: Rahji, the male.

Then, Tintin, my older female.

And finally, my young female, Sashi.

Trinkets are from India, so they like it rather warm and very humid. The females get bigger than the males in these rat snakes, unlike the Pantherophis types.

The Corn Snake Pit
I have followed the temperature range in the Monograph personally, 25-29C (77-84.2F), when I used to keep them. I will say that I have never encountered a problem with them sloughing, although often cited in literature (Monograph included) that they require/benefit from a humid environment, none of mine encountered problems and I made no attempts to spray or provide a moist hide nor did I witness them soaking in their bowls for extended periods. Other species of the same genus (radiatus, flavolineatus for instance seem to be particularly sensitive to dry environments).
A beautiful species with great character and prolific breeders into the bargain. Its little wonder that they are gaining in popularity, perhaps a little surprising that they aren't as yet that often kept in peoples collections.
I've seen some fantastic colour variations too, ones with various hues - greens & blue as well as 'yellow's'. As well as their slightly variable patterns, just makes for a very neat snake, IMO!
