As long as you keep an eye on them they should be fine. I wouldn't leave them unattended though. Is this your first time trying this cross?

ive never bred a king to a corn, the cal is the male, the female corn got scented with fem cal king anal discharge, now i have two female corns with him. and hand held a male corn in their presence for smell.noticed a little undualatiting(sp?)and the male cal is tongue flicking about every second.
i thought of this cross a while ago ,seeing the orange black and white might be a good color combo?

You might have better luck if you had a female Cal king for the male to get excitied about.

no that is the only cal of that color and pattern,i let them spend the night together the trio, and "wfeeuuu" no fat cali in the mornin arent the females most responsible for cannibalism (during breeding attempts)i cant remember ive been divorced for about 6 years now LOL. well its chilly here again so they are seperated for safety and soon as i start sweating again, ill put em back together.C
