Extreme Hybino?

pc_allen Mar 02, 2007 01:25 PM

Is anyone working on this project? Is it even possible? Would the best way to go for an Extreme Hybino be to breed an Extreme Hypo to an albino and then breed the dbl hets that are produced OR to breed an Extreme hypo to a Hybino and then breed the hypo het alb. that are produced? It seems that if the hypo gene the Hybino is carrying is not the Extreme gene then it could muddy up the Extreme hypo gene and you could get hypos and hybinos w/ very little Extreme blood in them instead of w/ dbl. hets that carry only the Extreme hypo gene.
Thanks for your thoughts,

Patrick

well i could be wrong and im sure if i am someone will correct me but i beleive hybino is a double homozygous(hypo&albino) and extreme is its own reccesive(different than hypo, meaning breed a hypo to extreme and get all dbl.hets.)so i believe if thats the case a hybino bred to an extreme will produce the triple hets capable of creating an etxreme hybino triple homo id like to see an extreme ghost bred with a hybino het.anery to produce possible quadhomo of course i could be completely off, regardless i see lots of cool morphs emerging in milks in the next few years,,,,,,,,thomas davis

Thanks Thomas for your input but i'm still a bit confused. I was under the impression that if you breed an Extreme hypo to hypo you will get all hypos with varying degrees of color in the bands. If you breed a tangerine albino to an Extreme hypo and then breed the dbl hets that they produce couldn't it be possible (1/16th chance)
of producing a hybino which might exhibit extreme traits?
