I aquired a female albino burm back in october. She has been doing great up until 2 days ago when she started rubbing her nose all over her cage. So I took the normal course of action and moved her from the cage she was in before (40 gal. breeder) and have now put her into a 75 gallon cage today. I applied a small amount of polysporin over the abrasion she started on her nose. She is still relatively small (about 4'6" and I am fairly confident that the 75 gallon cage will be sufficient to hold her till this summer when I can get outside to custom build her final enclosure. I am mainly concerned with what was causing the nose rub for the last 2 days. In your opinions is a 40 gallon breeder sized enclosure too small for a 4'6" burm? Or could there be other underlying causes that i am missing that could continue to cause her to rub?
