eating

DragonladyTRW Mar 03, 2007 12:04 PM

I have an ambilobe hatchling that got out of her shell last night. She's in her own little container with leaves and I mist it with warm water and she's walking around. When should I offer food?

thanks!

I usually put one pinhead cricket in the cage with the chameleon. When that one is gone(providing it can't escape) you will know the chameleon is ready to eat.

I've been gently misting the surroundings and this morning I put some fruit flies in there. The baby is looking at it and it catches her attention but then she goes to sleep.
These panthers seem to hatch much much slower than my Veiled clutch. Thanks for your advice!

Mine tend to start eating the day after they hatched.
Is it warm enough? Odd that it would be sleeping during daytime
