TonyZ Mar 03, 2007 01:06 PM

ok so with some help from you guys and alot of patients so far i have 18 out of 19 hatched and out of the incubator they are all doing good very active and bright eyed the one that knocked off its yolk sac is skinny but looks good still
question is they all do not seem interested in the crix i keep offering most are 3 days out of the egg should they be feeding by now? what else can i do to spark there appetites?
and can i offer any salads at this stage or wait a while?
p.s. i will post pics as soon as i figure out how to load them in my new puter
thanks
Tony

hi
mist them 3 times a day .
not with to fine spray but try to simulate rain with tiny drops.
i always freez me cricks in a tupperware box and i look every 20 sec in freezer.
if they just not moving any more i take them out.
use vitamine r calsium then dust
and then trow in after a while cricks come alive again and its easy for them to hunt.
also then they wil not hide fast.
and it wil cause not so eating freanzy when you trow in jumping running cricks.
tail a toe los a tail bite can happen faster.
yep most of the time it take 1,2,3 days before they start to eat.

You could try small silkworms.

herplover556 Mar 18, 2007 08:47 AM

wax worms =), meal worms =), and grasshoppers! =( i find hoppers not the best food in the world for bearded dragons. with the worms just for health i use the protein...

Waxworms and mealies should not be fed as a staple diet they are very high in fat.
