Can I Have A Male And A Female Together

Hi I Am getting another veiled chemeleon and i wanted to know if i can keep the male and the female together at all times or would they fight and kill one another thanks alot im not on this site much but if u wanted u can email to my hotmail up to u thanks for helping me thorson_01@hotmail.com Thanks again

It is not recommended that two veileds be kept together (even if they are both female). In the wild if they don't want to be together they have the option of moving away from each other...in cages (unless the cage is huge) they can't.

Hi is this a big enought cage i got a cage that is 12 inches wide 24 inches long and 26 inches tall its a mesh cage thanks get back to me soon thanks again

12" X24" X26" would be okay for a baby...but if its an adult the cage should be bigger than that IMHO.

I've kept my male and female together in a cage that was 5 ft tall by 3 wide by 30 inches deep. While they did not fight he was constantly trying to mate until she showed that she had eggs then he would leave her alone. Since she laid the eggs I have not put her back in the enclosure with him, and dont plan to until i have another female to create a trio so that he isnt constantly in pursuit of one female. The new issue arrises of whether the females will get along. I would agree that your cage will be a bit small especially for a male veiled given that they get much bigger than the females.
