cage sealant

Has anyone ever used krylon clear wood finish or krylon epoxy enamel to seal a cage? I couldn't get the link to go directly but if you click special purpose you can find them. All opinions appreciated.

Solvent based products take awhile to cure. I would stick to brush on Water based finishes.
