Help for three snake eggs

selim54 May 21, 2003 10:15 AM

I am looking for help for three eggs I found almost intact aside a snake that I found half dead near the road. Its head was pressed and also severely wounded at the abdomen, hence I found the eggs out ofthat area.
I just fancied to have them hatched, does anyone see a possibility?
I live in Istanbul
Thanks for any replies
Selim

Hi, I worked in petstores when I was younger and had many occasion to try to save eggs from a gravid lizard or snake that arrived dead or otherwise died. Basically you have to get the eggs within minutes of the mothers death. I had several batches that survived from racers, corn snakes and other colubrids. Incubate in high humidty 80-90% at about 80f if you are unaware of the type of snake it is, good luck.

Thanks for advise. Actually I could have a chance had I returned home and set the whole thing up.
Unfortunately by coming back home(some 10hrs or so)the eggs had already been "deflated". Hoping to find them again in life once more.
Thanks anyway...
