I have a female that should pop any time soon. I am wondering what are some real good signs that she is going to give birth soon?

..Late in gravidity the female will look very much like the forward part of her body is emaciated and the back half will look as large or even larger than earlier and also more lumpy. Females often cruise restlessly for as few as one day to as much as 2 weeks before they lay. It is like they are looking for the right place to lay the babies. A box with wet moss or mulch will often get them to settle down and lay the babies. What signs have you seen that make you think your snake is gravid and getting close to laying?

She hooked up with my male on Halloween. She is has been getting fat for a long time without any food. But tonight she started to look a lot fatter. Her tail has been getting thinner and thinner but I know thats because of no food. She has been laying on the heat for months now and also has been rolling on her sides for a couple of months. But i know the date has to be coming up very soon.

....Everything sounds like she is getting close but with the mating on Halloween I would not expect babies until april. When my females are gravid and due in a month or so they always look like they are about ready to lay and I get very impatient expecting them to lay.

she may lie on her back or her sides. This behavior starts anywhere from 4 to 2 weeks before giving birth. Good luck. Hey, post your stats! You'll be the first of the season.
