I just got a female popes from a guy I know and was wondering how large it should be at 4yrs of age. Another thing I wanted to know was how large they have to be to breed.
Thanks
Joe G.

They should be full-grown adults at 4 yrs of age. Females should be around 3' long and males may be around 18-24" long. Age is a better determinate factor of breeding ability and they can easily breed at 3 years, in my past experience. I believe that Tim Cole currently breeds this species and he may be willing to answer any other questions that you have, or even elaborate on this one.

I agree with Derek.

Thanks for the replys. My female is a little over 26 inches and is suppose to be about 4yrs old.
Thanks again,
Joe G.
I had a female that was all of 14" in lenght that gave birth to 6 babies. She was the diameter of a pencil! I never had a male in with her.
I wouldn't attempt to breed a female at such a small size, I got her from a zoo that had 12 or so in the same exhibit. I brought that snake home and 2 months later she dropped babies.
Go figure!
